Musenero Mathias

Meet Musenero Mathias, a Primary 4 teacher at Bridge Schools Uganda, Katende. He has four years of experience as a teacher, having taught in several public and private schools.

Mathias has been at Bridge for two years now, and he is very proud of the difference he has already made in that time. “Teaching is a bit different from teaching in other schools” he explains. “We use computers – using the learning guides is simple and interesting. The system centres on the child and checks whether they have understood or not.”

Don’t take his word for it – Mathias says that the evidence speaks for itself when you look at how much the pupils have improved. “Some of them came into Bridge unable to read and write!” he exclaims. “Now they can – it’s a massive plus for me as a teacher.”
